Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Hatfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Rosenberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). He arrived on a last minute flight shortly after looking tired and unhappy. Officials decided the fight should still take place, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Hatfield and Niko Rosenberg. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Hatfield!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Niko Rosenberg!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hatfield bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Hatfield is trying to get an arm triangle but Rosenberg is defending well.
Hatfield is looking to take a break and control but Rosenberg is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rosenberg sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rosenberg tries to get to full guard but Hatfield has control of the leg.

Hatfield is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Hatfield changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rosenberg looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hatfield working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rosenberg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rosenberg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

and Rosenberg counters with a three punch combo that has Hatfield backing up. Hatfield nods at Rosenberg to acknowledge the strikes.

Hatfield looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rosenberg!
Hatfield wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rosenberg keeps working.

Hatfield swings around for an armbar but Rosenberg sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hatfield's guard.
Rosenberg wants to get up but he can't break Hatfield's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hatfield had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rosenberg defends it easily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

A close third round but Niko Rosenberg just about did enough to take it.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rosenberg chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hatfield can pounce on him.
Hatfield throws a sloppy head kick and Rosenberg moves out of range easily.

Hatfield closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rosenberg's guard.

Rosenberg got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hatfield has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rosenberg has managed to get both his arms back between Hatfield's legs - danger averted.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that William Hatfield will probably get the nod.

Rosenberg gets caught napping as Hatfield dives in and scores a takedown. Rosenberg manages to retain guard.

Hatfield drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rosenberg manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hatfield has Rosenberg in his guard.
