Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Will Montgomery! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Zippy Bungle! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bungle rushes Montgomery and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Montgomery misses with the head strike.
Montgomery jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bungle walks away with a smile on his face. Montgomery gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Bungle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Montgomery shoots in but no luck this time. Bungle feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Montgomery sprawling to the canvas! Montgomery rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bungle finish him?!
It looks like Will Montgomery has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bungle shoots in for a takedown but Montgomery shows good takedown defense. Montgomery shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bungle as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Montgomery. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bungle shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Montgomery sprawls well. Montgomery throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bungle's waist but Bungle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Montgomery off to one side. Bungle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Montgomery, pushing him back against the cage. Montgomery can't get the takedown.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bungle shoots in but no luck this time. Bungle has his takedown stuffed and Montgomery counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
