Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between eddie toode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ducky Gonquer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). toode's entrance music is somebodies goin get there ass kicked. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonquer cracks toode with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
toode darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Gonquer on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Gonquer is trying to defend against the ground and pound but toode scores with a couple of nice shots.
toode trying to mount his opponent but Gonquer defends it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gonquer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gonquer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
toode shoots in but no luck this time.
Gonquer throws a left and a right that both miss
and toode counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gonquer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. toode is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gonquer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take toode's back instead.
You can see the frustration on toode's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gonquer connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for toode to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that eddie toode will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ducky Gonquer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
