Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Monty Lott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dana White!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lott.
Lott misses with a hook

so White counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Lott is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Lott manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lott. White does a little dance to reset his feet.

Lott shoots in and gets a takedown into White's guard.

Lott decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on White, up you get!

White avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
White dodges the punch combination from Lott.

Lott takes the fight into the clinch.

Lott jumps into guard, dragging White to the mat.

White throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lott works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Lott looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

White is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
White has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lott swings wildly with an uppercut but White uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lott gets a trip takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Monty Lott dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Lott swings for the body but White moves out of range.
Lott fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lott misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lott throws a right hand that misses

and White counters with a single leg into guard. Lott didn't expect that.
White wants to control from the top but Lott keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dana White wasn't active enough on the ground.
Lott misses with a double jab

and White counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lott's guard now.

Lott has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. White is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Lott turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Lott manages to end up in side control.
White is trying to escape the position but Lott is controlling the position.

Lott stands up and beckons White to his feet.

Lott misses with a hook. White ducked under it nicely.
Lott throws a left and a right that both miss

and White counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

and White counters with a shoot takedown. Lott fights it but they end up in guard.
Lott is pulling down on White's head to control his posture.

White avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Lott clinches.

Lott drags the fight down to the ground.
White tries to stand but Lott is controlling from the bottom.

Lott has his feet on White's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Lott throws a left and a right that both miss

and White counters with a takedown into side control.

White is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lott is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
White trying to control the action but Lott is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
White might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lott haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dana White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think White has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
