Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cesar Vialpando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bryce Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cesar Vialpando!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vialpando gets caught napping as Daniels dives in and scores a takedown. Vialpando manages to retain guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Vialpando thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Vialpando is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Daniels is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Daniels has escaped and now he's on top!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Daniels manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vialpando on his heels. He'll look to pass Vialpando's guard now, I'm sure.

Vialpando's coach down at Cozad MMA Los Angeles was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Vialpando's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Daniels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vialpando gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Daniels controls Vialpando momentarily but Vialpando frees himself.

Vialpando drops back, looking for a kneebar! Daniels looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Daniels looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Daniels!

Vialpando is not content to let Daniels control the position.
Vialpando regains half guard there - taking advantage of Daniels's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Daniels is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bryce Daniels overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Vialpando is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Daniels's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Daniels's back!
