Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Honda Housey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Master Yi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yi has chosen Master Yi - By Riot as his entrance music. Master Yi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Master Yi!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Housey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Yi has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

Master Yi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Housey decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Yi's guard.

Housey has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Housey swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Yi is now in Housey's guard. A big mistake from Housey there, giving up the dominant position!
Yi slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Let's hope that Yi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Housey will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Housey has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Yi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Housey.

Yi uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Yi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Housey. That did some damage!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Master Yi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Yi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Housey.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Housey.

Yi pushes Housey away with a front kick.
Yi tries to close the distance and clinch but Housey swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Housey is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Housey is looking to wear down Yi with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Master Yi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
