Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cameron Dollar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rangi Smith!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Smith does no damage.
Smith falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dollar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Smith misses with a combination
and Dollar counters with a stiff right hand.
Dollar misses with a looping right.
Dollar swats away the attempt to clinch by Smith.
Dollar circles away from the clinch attempt
and Dollar counters with a nice uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dollar has a takedown stuffed.
Smith works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Smith uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dollar.

Smith tries to clinch
and Dollar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dollar drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Dollar throws a lazy right hand but Smith sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Smith misses with a hook.
Smith throws a half hearted mid kick.
Smith throws a leg kick but Dollar sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Smith looks to land a combination but Dollar avoids it well.
Rangi Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith swinging wildly here.
Smith throws a combination that misses
and Dollar counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Smith throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Smith looks winded!
Smith changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Dollar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Smith swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Dollar counter with a right hand.
Dollar throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Smith on the side of the head.
Smith has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Smith wants to clinch
and Dollar counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Dollar tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Smith throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Dollar counter with a right hand.
Smith misses with a double jab
letting Dollar counter with a right hand.


Smith is rocked!
Dollar misses with a looping left.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Dollar finish him?
Dollar is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Smith throws a sloppy body shot
and Dollar counters with a crisp right that sends Smith to the canvas! Dollar follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
