Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elizondo Tacos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sabu Fatu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fatu has chosen Margaritaville as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elizondo Tacos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sabu Fatu! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tacos throws a series of punches but Fatu moves out of range. Tacos looks to score with a jab to the body but Fatu is just out of range. Fatu throws a left and a right that both miss
and Tacos counters with a nice double leg into guard. Tacos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tacos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tacos trying to control the position from guard on top but Fatu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fatu can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tacos controls the pace. Tacos throwing strikes from guard but Fatu blocks nicely. Tacos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tacos trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fatu lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tacos!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tacos is looking to get to half guard. Tacos manages to regain half guard. Good work. Fatu is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tacos lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fatu! Fatu avoids a strike by Tacos and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Tacos's guard! Fantastic escape!
Tacos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Tacos is looking to sweep but instead, Fatu has passed into half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Fatu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Sabu Fatu dominated that round. The cut man is working on Elizondo Tacos's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Fatu tries to bum rush Tacos with a series of wild strikes but Tacos uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tacos cracks a nice hook into Fatu's ribs. Fatu scores with a decent looking hook. Fatu misses the shot to the body. Fatu misses the jab. Fatu lands a glancing blow to the side of Tacos's head. Fatu misses with a hook. Tacos throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Elizondo Tacos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Fatu is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fatu holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Tacos tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tacos working for a submission but Fatu is keeping him at bay. Fatu suckers Tacos into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Fatu is now in Tacos's guard!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Fatu takes a body punch but keeps moving. Tacos scores with a three punch combo!
