Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Mooney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmitri Kherzakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dmitri Kherzakov! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kherzakov shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Mooney is trying to defend but Kherzakov finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Mooney could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kherzakov is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! Mooney gets caught napping as Kherzakov dives in and scores a takedown. Mooney manages to retain guard. Kherzakov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. OK we're going to have a standup here. Dmitri Kherzakov hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Kherzakov gets the takedown into side control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kherzakov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kherzakov has let go of the choke. Dmitri Kherzakov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Dmitri Kherzakov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kherzakov shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kherzakov is trying to control. Mooney wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mooney is trying to stand back up but Kherzakov is controlling him

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Josh Mooney has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dmitri Kherzakov is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that's the end of the fight! Dmitri Kherzakov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kherzakov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
