Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiruku Matah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matah comes to the cage accompanied by Walker the Texas Ranger Theme. The key to victory for Hiruku Matah has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hiruku Matah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Freddy Lee!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Lee or perhaps it was just good defense by Matah, which made it look bad.
Lee moves in looking to clinch but Matah pushes him off.
Matah lands a nice leg kick that just misses Lee's sensitive parts.
Matah looks for a takedown but Lee sprawls well.
Matah looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lee is fending him off so far but Matah persists. Nope, Lee circles away and we're back to standing.

Matah shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lee is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Matah working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Lee won't allow Matah to pass to mount.
Matah throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Matah prevents Lee from improving his position.

Lee is pressing down on Matah's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Matah is one step ahead there.
Matah pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lee is keeping the position for now.
Lee is trying to keep Matah in close.
Matah tries to free his leg and advance position but Lee is retaining full guard.
Lee can't keep his opponent in guard - Matah advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Lee is pressing down on Matah's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Matah is working hard here to advance position.
Lee tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Matah is in close to Lee's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lee wants to sweep here but Matah controlling him for the moment.
Matah postures up.
Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Matah passes Lee's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Matah lands a nice short elbow.

Matah is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lee sees it coming and defends easily.
Matah is trying to control. Lee wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lee wants to get back to full guard.
Lee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Matah's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Matah's back!

Lee is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Matah won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Lee off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Freddy Lee!
After winning the bout, Freddy Lee thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Hiruku Matah spoke after the fight, saying 'Bah!'.
