Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jiu Jiet Siet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Volka Brasehrava!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siet wants to clinch.
Brasehrava closes this distance looking for a takedown but Siet circles away.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Siet bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Siet is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brasehrava has escaped the position, nice work there.
Brasehrava is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Siet off and has taken his back!

Brasehrava is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Siet has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Siet looking very determined here, making life difficult for Brasehrava.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Siet's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Brasehrava is controlling the position but Siet somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Siet knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brasehrava on the ground.

Brasehrava is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Siet is looking to control Brasehrava's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Siet avoid being mounted?
Brasehrava is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Siet!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Brasehrava cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Brasehrava stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

and Siet counters with a nice double leg into side control. Brasehrava won't be happy with that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Siet stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Siet clinches up against the cage.

Siet is trying to drag Brasehrava to the mat but Brasehrava just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Brasehrava manages to break the clinch.

Brasehrava feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Brasehrava thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Brasehrava is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Siet pulls Brasehrava in close to prevent any damage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Brasehrava comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Siet gets caught flat footed, as Brasehrava shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brasehrava slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Siet is trying to control Brasehrava's posture but Brasehrava avoids it.
Volka Brasehrava has got the better of the ground game so far.
Siet tries to buck Brasehrava off but Brasehrava is having none of it.

Brasehrava is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Siet knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Brasehrava is looking to take a break and control but Siet is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Brasehrava wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Siet, who protects the arm well.
Brasehrava is breathing heavily.

Siet tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brasehrava wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Brasehrava goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Siet rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Brasehrava's guard! Nice work there by Siet!
Siet is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Brasehrava escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Siet gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Brasehrava wants to sweep here but Siet controlling him for the moment.

Siet tries to free his leg and advance position but Brasehrava is retaining full guard.

Siet would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Siet controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Siet trying to control the position from guard on top but Brasehrava is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Brasehrava escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Siet gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brasehrava is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Siet rolls with it to try and escape but Brasehrava cranks on the arm and Siet is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Volka Brasehrava!
