Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bart Waller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marius Derdriuc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bart Waller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marius Derdriuc! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Waller throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Derdriuc gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Derdriuc is rocked! Derdriuc looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Waller engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Derdriuc looking to control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bart Waller wasn't doing enough on the ground. Nice takedown defense from Derdriuc. No joy for Waller on that attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waller dives in for a single leg takedown but Derdriuc sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Waller stops a takedown attempt from Derdriuc.
Derdriuc looks winded! Waller manages to break the clinch.
A slapping body kick lands there for Waller. Waller tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A solid body kick from Waller. Waller shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Derdriuc as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bart Waller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Waller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Derdriuc defends it nicely. Waller goes for a double leg but Derdriuc avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Derdriuc continues to drive forward.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waller pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nice cross by Waller.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Waller shoots in and drives through. Derdriuc sprawls well. No luck with that takedown attempt from Waller. Derdriuc avoids the head kick by Waller.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bart Waller dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Derdriuc tries to sprawl but Waller drives through with a takedown into half guard. Waller slows the pace down in half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Bart Waller just wasn't active enough. Some wild striking there from Waller.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waller tries a head kick but it misses.
Bart Waller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Waller with a poor takedown and Derdriuc counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Waller! Waller explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Derdriuc is breathing heavily. Waller shoots in looking for a takedown but Derdriuc manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Waller's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Waller closes the distance and clinches up with Derdriuc, looking for a takedown. Waller pushes Derdriuc against the cage but Derdriuc circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bart Waller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Waller scores with a push kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waller closes the distance and clinches. Waller connects with a nasty looking knee right to Derdriuc's face.
Waller breaks from the clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Waller moves into the clinch. Derdriuc takes an elbow to the temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Waller escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Derdriuc has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Waller. Waller misses with a head kick.
Waller looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Derdriuc crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Waller - the referee stops the clock and Derdriuc gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Waller. Derdriuc manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bart Waller dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Derdriuc takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
That kick from Waller tenderised Derdriuc's leg. Derdriuc is trying to keep his angry face on. Waller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Waller lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Waller. Waller fails with the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Waller thuds his shin into the meat of Derdriuc's side. Derdriuc takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Waller closes the distance and clinches. Derdriuc has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Waller. Waller breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Waller drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Waller tries to stand but Derdriuc is controlling his head. Waller taking a breather here. Waller has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Waller wants to stand but Derdriuc has his arm trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Bart Waller just wasn't active enough. Waller gets a clinch. Waller manages to break the clinch.
Waller has managed to clinch.
Marius Derdriuc has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bart Waller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Derdriuc misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Waller.
And that's the end of the fight! Bart Waller showed his dominance in that final round. Well Waller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
