Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raijin Joaquin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Damian Marshall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raijin Joaquin! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marshall closes the distance looking to clinch and Joaquin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Marshall is trying to drag Joaquin to the mat but Joaquin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Joaquin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Joaquin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marshall circles away. Marshall wants to clinch and Joaquin makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Marshall has been working on his balance at Cozad MMA Rio, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Joaquin. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marshall wants to clinch. Marshall looks to clinch and Joaquin counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Joaquin. Joaquin has Marshall pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Marshall manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Joaquin is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Marshall can't fight it off and eventually Joaquin manages to take the fight to the floor. Marshall looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Joaquin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Marshall works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Marshall wants to stand but Joaquin is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joaquin has gone for a leg lock! Marshall slips out almost immediately though and dives into Joaquin's guard. Marshall wants to stand and escape but instead Joaquin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Marshall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marshall tries to get out of the position. Joaquin prevents Marshall from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joaquin with a flurry of punches that miss. Joaquin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Joaquin stops Marshall from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Joaquin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Joaquin is looking to advance position but Marshall won't allow it. Joaquin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Marshall's head. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Marshall wants to get back to his feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The fight stays on the outside here - Marshall looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Marshall is looking to clinch. Marshall tries to clinch but fails miserably and Joaquin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Marshall's guard. Joaquin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Marshall preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Marshall is breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Joaquin wants to stand but Marshall is controlling his posture from full guard. Joaquin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Raijin Joaquin dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Joaquin keeps the fight on the outside. Joaquin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Marshall fails in his attempt to clinch. Marshall tries to clinch and Joaquin moves into the clinch. Marshall gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Marshall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joaquin on the ground. Joaquin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Raijin Joaquin has got the better of the ground game so far. Joaquin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Marshall is aware though and is defending well. Marshall has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Joaquin is proving hard to escape from. Joaquin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Marshall would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Joaquin trying to control the position.

Damian Marshall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Marshall tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Marshall got a little sloppy there for a moment and Joaquin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Marshall has managed to get both his arms back between Joaquin's legs - danger averted. Marshall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Raijin Joaquin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Marshall darts in trying to clinch and Joaquin moves into the clinch.

It will also be interesting to see what tactics Marshall uses from the top position. Marshall wanted to stand there but Joaquin had control of the position. Joaquin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Marshall defends well. Joaquin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Marshall has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Joaquin is proving hard to escape from. Joaquin lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Joaquin throws a big elbow that misses. Joaquin stands up from Marshall's guard - Joaquin perhaps looking for a knockout. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marshall scores with a one two! Joaquin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Raijin Joaquin. Well Joaquin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
