Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Why Not! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jonathan Roy! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Not moves into the clinch. Roy throws a punch but it's blocked by Not. Roy drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Not letting Roy take a breather here. Roy changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Not fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Roy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Not swats him away and circles back towards the center. Not definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Not throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Jonathan Roy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Why Not has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Roy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Not pivots, looking for a leg kick but Roy is out of range and Not settles back down. Roy tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Not is looking to clinch. Roy fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Roy dives in for a single leg takedown but Not sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Roy lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Why Not has been cut. Roy lands an elbow inside that Not shrugs off. Not is trying to pull guard but Roy turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Not takes an elbow to the temple. Roy lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Roy tries to circle away but Not has him pinned against the cage. Roy has Not pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Not manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Roy comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Not blocks the elbow strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Not changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Roy fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Roy clinches. Not tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Roy just stands there and leans against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Not. Roy tries to pull guard but Not forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Roy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Not fails in his attempt to clinch. Not keeps the fight on the outside. Roy shoots in for a double leg but Not sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Roy shoots in looking for a takedown. Not tries to sprawl out of it but Roy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Not manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Roy looks winded! Roy fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Not is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Not is looking to clinch but Roy is avoiding it.
Roy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Roy wants it to stay on the feet. Not shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Not maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Roy could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Not has cracked it and Roy is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Not!
