Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roman Gluschenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roman Gluschenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Smith! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gluschenko swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gluschenko takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gluschenko lands the left hand. Gluschenko rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Smith counters with a nice uppercut. Gluschenko misses with the combination.
Gluschenko closes the distance and clinches. Smith lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Smith throws a head punch that misses. A head punch on the inside from Smith fails to land. Gluschenko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Smith pulls his leg out and moves away.
Smith slips a jab from Gluschenko.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith lands with a kick to the ribs.
Gluschenko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Smith counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Gluschenko falls off balance throwing a combination
and Smith counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Smith has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Gluschenko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gluschenko to score with a decent uppercut. Gluschenko throws a series of punches but Smith avoids them all with ease. Gluschenko is breathing heavily. Smith scores with a hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A looping hook to the body misses from Gluschenko. Smith does a little dance to reset his feet. Gluschenko misses with a wild combination.
Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Gluschenko. Gluschenko gets slowly back to his feet. Smith cracks Gluschenko with a right hand to the side of the head. Gluschenko scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Gluschenko looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Gluschenko looks to land a left hand but Smith moved out of range nicely. Gluschenko takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Smith moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gluschenko is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Smith.
It looks like Roman Gluschenko has been cut. Smith thuds his right hand into Gluschenko's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gluschenko is rocked! Gluschenko walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Gluschenko limp body while Smith jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Smith! John Smith spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
