The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franks cracks Ekart with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Ekart has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Ekart has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Franks finds it's way round the side to connect with Ekart's head.
Franks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ekart sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tom Franks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Franks lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ekart circles away quickly and effectively.

Franks throws a right hand that Ekart ducks under and follows up with a left that Ekart also avoids with ease.
Franks looks to land a right hand but Ekart moved out of range.

Ekart fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Franks sprawls well initially but Ekart persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Ekart slips a nice elbow through Franks's hands, connecting with Franks's forehead.

A big strike lands for Ekart! That's really hurt Franks and he's turned his back - Ekart keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Ekart jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
