Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Pacioretty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that John Barnes has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily John Barnes seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Max Pacioretty!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pacioretty's head.
Barnes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Nice defenses there by Barnes.
Pacioretty misses with a combination
and Barnes counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Max Pacioretty has been cut.
Pacioretty takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Barnes defending well as Pacioretty loads up on a big left hand.
Barnes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pacioretty fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Pacioretty gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Some wild striking there from Pacioretty.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barnes darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Barnes dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Barnes scores with a sloppy right hand. Pacioretty should have avoided that one.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Barnes blocks a head kick by Pacioretty.
Barnes connects with a body shot that sends Pacioretty's belly button to the back.
Pacioretty misses with a lunging right hand
and Barnes counters with a one-two to the body.
Pacioretty throws a nice looking combination but Barnes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Pacioretty throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Barnes lands with a thumping leg kick.
Pacioretty walks into a stiff left hand from Barnes.
Pacioretty throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Barnes counters with a low kick, right behind Pacioretty 's knee.
Pacioretty rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Barnes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pacioretty is rocked!
Barnes seems to be stalking Pacioretty here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Pacioretty drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Barnes!
