Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Artur Levchenko!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matthews gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Levchenko lands a right hand that snaps the head of Matthews backwards.

Matthews changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Levchenko tries to avoid it but Matthews manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Levchenko to the ground. Levchenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Levchenko buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Matthews throws a head kick that half lands.
We've been informed that Levchenko has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Levchenko keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Matthews tries to close the distance and clinch up but Levchenko swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Levchenko scores with a head kick. Matthews tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


It looks like Max Matthews has been cut.
Matthews needs to keep his hands up - Levchenko had a free shot at his head there.
Levchenko digs a good body shot into Matthews's ribs.
Matthews moves to clinch but Levchenko breaks away
and Levchenko counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Matthews is breathing heavily.
Matthews changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Levchenko tries to avoid it but Matthews manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Levchenko to the ground. Levchenko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Levchenko swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Matthews avoids the body shot from Levchenko.
Matthews tries to clinch but Levchenko moves out of range.
Matthews checks a leg kick.
Max Matthews seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Matthews blocks a jab.

Levchenko lands a big head kick that sends Matthews tumbling to the mat! Levchenko takes a step backwards and waves Matthews back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Matthews shoots in for a takedown but Levchenko shows good takedown defense.
Matthews wants to clinch but Levchenko slips to the side

and Levchenko counters with a crisp right hand that drops Matthews! Levchenko lets Matthews back up to his feet, looking for a finish!


Matthews is rocked!
Matthews shoots in for a double leg but Levchenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Oh Matthews is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Levchenko cracks Matthews on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Matthews falls backwards against the cage. Levchenko follows up with more strikes that drop Matthews to his knees. Levchenko keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Matthews! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Artur Levchenko!
After winning the bout, Artur Levchenko thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
