Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Per Fekt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Alekseev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fekt's entrance music is Ack Sundbyberg. A fine choice. Alekseev has chosen Imperium as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Per Fekt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Alekseev! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alekseev rushes Fekt and presses him up against the cage. Alekseev is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Fekt gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Fekt misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Alekseev swings wildly with an uppercut but Fekt uses good head movement to avoid it. A short right hand to the side of the head by Alekseev. Alekseev goes for a takedown attempt but Fekt pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Per Fekt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Alekseev. Alekseev tries to clinch but Fekt moves out of range. Fekt looks to land a left hand but Alekseev moved out of range nicely. Alekseev digs a good hook to Fekt's body.
Fekt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alekseev paws at him with a jab and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice cross by Fekt.
It looks like Oleg Alekseev has been cut. Fekt misses with a wild combination.
No luck for Alekseev with that takedown attempt. Fekt connects with a single shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alekseev misses with a hook. Fekt slips a straight right by Alekseev. No joy there for Fekt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Nice shot lands for Fekt. Fekt throws a hook but Alekseev avoids it easily. Fekt connects with a jab. Alekseev closes the distance and clinches. Fekt blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Fekt lands with a light punch inside. Alekseev jumps guard and drags Fekt to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Fekt trying to control the position from guard on top but Alekseev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fekt looking to sit in guard and control but Alekseev gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alekseev postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alekseev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Fekt pulls Alekseev in close to prevent any damage. Alekseev with a flurry of punches that miss. Alekseev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fekt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Alekseev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Alekseev is looking to work some ground and pound but Fekt has wrist control. Alekseev with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Alekseev wants to pass the guard but Fekt is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fekt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Fekt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Alekseev passes Fekt's left leg - he's now in half guard. Alekseev working over Fekt with some ground and pound. Alekseev is looking to advance position but Fekt won't allow it. Alekseev is thwarting Fekt's attempts to control the position. Alekseev thows a huge punch but Fekt dodges it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fekt wants to control but Alekseev is keeping busy.
Alekseev wants to free his trapped foot but Fekt is holding on for dear life with his legs. Alekseev is trying to control. Fekt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Alekseev is nestled in close to Fekt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Alekseev winds up and cracks Fekt with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Alekseev thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fekt's head. Alekseev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fekt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Alekseev looks to land a strike but Fekt avoids it nicely and regains full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oleg Alekseev dominated that round. The cut man is working on Oleg Alekseev's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Fekt throws a big shot that misses. Fekt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Fekt misses with a straight right. Alekseev's jab looks to have found its range, popping Fekt under the eye.
It looks like Per Fekt has been cut. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Alekseev. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Alekseev looks to land a left hand but Fekt moved out of range nicely. Alekseev takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alekseev drops his hands momentarily and Fekt takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
That has opened up Oleg Alekseev's cut even more. Alekseev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fekt as he avoids it easily. Alekseev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fekt. Fekt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Per Fekt is winning the standup battle so far. Alekseev shoots in looking for a takedown but Fekt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alekseev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fekt keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Per Fekt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Alekseev. Fekt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Fekt looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Fekt takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Alekseev walks into a straight right hand from Fekt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fekt lands a big right hand that sends Alekseev crashing to the mat! Fekt stays standing though and waves Alekseev back to his feet!
Alekseev is rocked!
The cut above Oleg Alekseev's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Alekseev is aggressively charging in as Fekt backs up avoiding any damage. Fekt tosses out a jab and Alekseev runs right into it face first! Alekseev is out cold! Fekt dropped down on all fours and is barking in Alekseev's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Per Fekt! In his post fight interview, Per Fekt started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
