Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kanga Roos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Woods's choice of entrance music: skillet-monster. Kanga Roos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roos clinches up with Woods and pushes him back against the cage. Woods stalling in the clinch but Roos improves position. Roos has Woods pressed against the cage, preventing Woods from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Woods breaks from the clinch.

Roos makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Roos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Woods paws at him with a jab and circles away. Woods fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Roos fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Woods to the ground. Roos is now in Woods's guard. Roos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Woods works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Woods is looking for a triangle but Roos pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Woods looking for a sweep. Not yet Woods, not yet. Roos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Roos lands a couple of elbows. Roos gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Woods wants to clinch. Woods takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Roos throws a combination that misses and Woods counters with a left to the body. Roos tries to bum rush Woods with a series of wild strikes but Woods uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
