Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andrew Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Chris Weidman!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Weidman tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Weidman to the ground. Weidman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Silva drives through with a takedown into Weidman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Weidman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Weidman is working Silva over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Weidman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Weidman decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
