Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gale Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gale Perry is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perry closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Dawson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Perry smiles and moves away.

Dawson pushes Perry off but Perry dives into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perry wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dawson, who protects the arm well.

Perry thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Perry throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Perry goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dawson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Perry's guard! Nice work there by Dawson!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Dawson throws a strike but Perry rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Perry distracts Dawson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Dawson is looking to stand back up but Perry counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Dawson.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Dawson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Perry is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gale Perry will probably get the nod.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Perry is defended easily by Dawson.
Dawson shoots in looking for a takedown. Perry tries to sprawl out of it but Dawson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Perry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Perry wants to clinch up but Dawson keeps it at a distance.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Gale Perry is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Dawson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Perry has picked Dawson up and slammed him! Dawson can't keep hold of the triangle and Perry manages to pass to side control!
