PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeggu Bomb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Otis Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bomb comes to the cage accompanied by Limp Bizkit - Nookie. Jeggu Bomb had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 22 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeggu Bomb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 42 - 26 - 2, fighting out of New York, Otis Gein!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bomb doesn't manage to clinch there - Gein circles away.
Gein connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Bomb throws out a leg kick but Gein moves out of range and Bomb only half commits.
Bomb keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Bomb throws out a loose jab but Gein uses good head movement to avoid it.
Jeggu Bomb seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gein bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bomb's head backwards.
Bomb throws a hook to the side of Gein's head but Gein sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bomb is looking to clinch but Gein is avoiding it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gein has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bomb swings for the body but Gein moves out of range.

I was talking to Bomb's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
