Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pete Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heishiro Mitsurugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pete Alexander is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Alexander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Heishiro Mitsurugi!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mitsurugi makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Mitsurugi tried to score with a low kick but Alexander checks it.
Mitsurugi takes a swing at Alexander's ribcage but misses.
Mitsurugi lands a head kick!
Alexander checks a low kick from Mitsurugi.
Mitsurugi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Mitsurugi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Alexander has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Alexander shoots for a takedown but Mitsurugi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Alexander fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Alexander. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mitsurugi lands with a kick to the temple. Alexander shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Mitsurugi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Mitsurugi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Alexander checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mitsurugi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alexander paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mitsurugi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Alexander.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alexander shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mitsurugi sprawls well. Mitsurugi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alexander gets slowly back to his feet.

Alexander shoots in and drives through. Mitsurugi sprawls well.

Alexander shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mitsurugi's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mitsurugi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mitsurugi working a defensive guard but Alexander manages to pass into side control anyway.

Alexander cracks Mitsurugi with a big right hand but Mitsurugi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Mitsurugi takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Mitsurugi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alexander. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alexander is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mitsurugi has escaped the position, nice work there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alexander looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Mitsurugi felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Alexander is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mitsurugi's shoulder. That is not cool.

Alexander in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Mitsurugi is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Pete Alexander!
