Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Arto Blomsten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Konsta Peskov!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blomsten slaps away a takedown attempt from Peskov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Blomsten scores with a leg kick.
Blomsten shoots in looking for a takedown. Peskov tries to sprawl out of it but Blomsten keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Peskov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Blomsten misses with a takedown attempt - Peskov sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Peskov counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arto Blomsten. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blomsten is not content to let Peskov control the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blomsten is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Peskov off and has taken his back!
Blomsten tries to get the hooks in deep but Peskov pushed the leg off.
Blomsten is looking for the choke from the back position but Peskov is controlling his hands well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Blomsten has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Peskov has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Peskov trying to get back to his feet but Blomsten is in full control for now.
Blomsten keeps control of the position as Peskov tries to break free.
Blomsten has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Peskov! Can he survive? No! He's out! Blomsten gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Arto Blomsten!
