Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jamaal Lamb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saki Gyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jamaal Lamb!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gyan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lamb sprawls well initially but Gyan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lamb is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gyan wants to take a breather but Lamb is having none of it.
Lamb looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Gyan missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Gyan is pressing down on Lamb's thigh, looking to free his foot. Lamb is holding on for now.
Lamb actively working from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gyan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lamb defends it well.
Gyan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lamb does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lamb is looking to escape.
Gyan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gyan prevents Lamb from standing back up.
Lamb might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lamb tries to roll over but Gyan keeps him under control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lamb gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gyan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lamb is looking for a triangle but Gyan pushes his legs off easily.
Lamb looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Gyan passes into half guard.
Lamb actively working from the bottom here.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gyan controlling the action here.
Gyan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lamb could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Gyan tries to free his leg and advance position but Lamb is retaining full guard.

Gyan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lamb swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gyan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lamb dives on top into guard.
Gyan wants to sweep but no luck.

Gyan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lamb is aware though and is defending well.
Gyan looks winded!
Lamb lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Lamb missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Gyan looking for a sweep. Not yet Gyan, not yet.
Lamb in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lamb shoots in and bounces Gyan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gyan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Saki Gyan will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Lamb is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gyan is aware though and is defending well.
Lamb tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gyan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lamb has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gyan has managed to get both his arms back between Lamb's legs - danger averted.

Lamb throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Gyan escapes and throws Lamb's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Lamb is looking to reverse the position.
Lamb sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Saki Gyan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Gyan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gyan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

It looks like Gyan is going to stand back up.
Gyan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Gyan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lamb does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, if Gyan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Lamb wants to control but Gyan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Gyan blocks the strikes from Lamb.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Gyan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lamb swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lamb is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Gyan frees his head nicely. Oh but Lamb has switched to an armbar! Gyan is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
