Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Codi Gale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gale might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gravity kills - Guilty. Pope has chosen LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gale crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Pope - the referee stops the clock and Gale gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Pope. Gale manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Pope takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gale throws a body punch but Pope moves out of range.
Gale jabs Pope right on the nose. Pope blinks but takes it well.
Pope takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Gale is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pope can do to turn this around?

Pope lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Gale digs a good body shot into Pope's ribs.

Gale feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Pope sprawling to the canvas! Pope rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gale finish him?!

Pope tries to close the distance and clinch but Gale swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pope pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Pope is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Pope might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Gale has got the better of the exchanges.
