Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Potts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan has chosen Freestyler as his entrance music. The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potts throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ryan.
Ryan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Potts.
Ryan takes a swing at Potts's ribcage but misses.
Potts swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Potts dodges the punch combination from Ryan.

Potts tries to close the distance and clinch but Ryan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Potts is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ryan is just riding it out for now. Potts eventually gives up the hold.
Potts wants to work for an arm triangle but Ryan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ryan wants to improve his position but Potts is controlling well.

Potts perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
