Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Eddie Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Bishop closes the distance and clinches up with Diaz, looking for a takedown. Bishop pushes Diaz against the cage but Diaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bishop is looking for a kimura but Diaz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bishop to get the leverage.
Bishop wants to pass to mount but Diaz is defending the position.

Bishop decides to return to a standing position.
Bishop tries for a takedown but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bishop shoots in and drives through. Diaz sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Bishop. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bishop with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Diaz to score with a decent uppercut.

Bishop shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bishop showed some decent athleticism there.

Bishop content to control rather than advance.
Diaz wants to get back to his feet.
Diaz is staying active underneath Bishop, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Diaz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Bishop ducks under a wild hook from Diaz.
Diaz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bishop.
Nice sprawl there from Diaz as Bishop shoots in.
Bishop ducks right into an uppercut from Diaz.
Diaz lands a glancing blow to the side of Bishop's head.
Diaz has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Diaz connects with a solid leg kick.

Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bishop shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Bishop's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Diaz misses with a looping left.
Nick Bishop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Diaz, right into the meat.
No luck for Bishop with that takedown attempt.
Bishop takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Diaz thuds his shin into the meat of Bishop's side.
Bishop shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eddie Diaz dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Diaz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Diaz moves into the clinch.
Bishop has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Diaz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bishop has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Diaz clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Bishop patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Diaz is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Bishop has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Bishop is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bishop wants to control but Diaz is keeping busy.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Diaz controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Diaz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bishop. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bishop tries to get the hooks in deep but Diaz pushed the leg off.

Bishop really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Diaz.

Bishop has got one arm under Diaz's chin. This could be trouble... Diaz trying to control the other hand but Bishop gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Diaz has tapped out! The fight is over!
