Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shay Deeh!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnston tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Deeh defends well and Johnston ends up having to push Deeh into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Johnston's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Johnston is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Johnston looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Deeh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Deeh scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Deeh wants to stand but Johnston is controlling his arm.

Deeh is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Johnston is defending well though. Deeh let's go of the attempt for now.

Deeh is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Deeh takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Johnston comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Deeh as Johnston shoots in.
Deeh stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Deeh wants it to stay on the feet.

Johnston missing with a left hand there. Deeh was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Deeh misses with a kick to the body.
Johnston fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Johnston shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Johnston moves into range and connects with a jab.

Johnston fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Deeh, pushing him back against the cage.
Deeh has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Johnston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Johnston cracks a nice hook into Deeh's ribs.

Deeh looks for a takedown but Johnston sprawls well.
Deeh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnston paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Shay Deeh is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Deeh doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Johnston counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Johnston missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Johnston is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Deeh trying to control but Johnston postures up.
Deeh tries to roll over but Johnston keeps him under control.

Johnston is trying to work for a kimura but Deeh is defending well.
Shay Deeh has got the better of the ground game so far.

Johnston decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Deeh tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

That's time! Johnston's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Deeh drives through and clinches with Johnston against the cage.

Johnston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Deeh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Deeh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnston swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Johnston shoots in looking for a takedown. Deeh tries to sprawl out of it but Johnston keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Deeh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Deeh takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Shay Deeh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnston avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Deeh is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnston sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Deeh is looking to clinch but Johnston is avoiding it.

Johnston tries to sprawl but Deeh drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Deeh takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Johnston throws a strike from the bottom but Deeh passes into side control!

Deeh has his arm under Johnston's chin here. Game over son! Deeh squeezes tightly and Johnston is forced to tap out!
