Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, The Asskicker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Zane Newton! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Asskicker fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Asskicker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Newton is trying to control Asskicker's posture but Asskicker avoids it. Newton is looking for a sweep. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Newton is looking for a sweep. Asskicker stands up and beckons Newton to his feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Newton. Asskicker shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Newton counters with a takedown into side control. Newton tries to move to mount but Asskicker blocks the move with his legs. Asskicker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Asskicker is pulling down on Newton's head to control his posture. Asskicker keeping moving, preventing Newton from controlling successfully. Newton is looking to work some ground and pound but Asskicker has wrist control. Asskicker wants to improve his position but instead Newton has moved into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Newton is stalling here. Asskicker is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Newton seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Asskicker has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Asskicker in side control, just content to control the action for now. Asskicker wants to control but Newton is keeping him busy. Asskicker tries to score with some ground and pound. Newton controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Asskicker trying to control the action but Newton is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that The Asskicker will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

That's one minute gone in the round. Newton slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Asskicker keeping full guard, as Newton tries to pass. Asskicker is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Newton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Asskicker looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Newton shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Asskicker tries to hold on but Newton pushes him away. Asskicker is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Newton content just to control the position here. Newton wants to control the action but instead Asskicker gets a body lock and reverses into Newton's guard! Nice work! Asskicker is looking to stand up but Newton won't let him. Newton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Newton looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Zane Newton showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!
The fight stays on the outside here - Asskicker looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Asskicker tries to clinch but Newton moves away and Newton counters with a shoot takedown. Asskicker fights it but they end up in guard. Asskicker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Newton sitting in guard here, content to control. Asskicker wants to sweep but no luck. Newton controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Asskicker looking for a sweep. Not yet Asskicker, not yet.

Asskicker is trying to maintain the position but Newton is very close to passing his half guard. Newton is looking to take a break and control but Asskicker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Asskicker looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Asskicker trying to control but Newton postures up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Newton changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Asskicker tries to avoid it but Newton manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Asskicker to the ground. Asskicker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Newton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Asskicker seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Asskicker tries to pass the half guard into mount. Newton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Asskicker has a takedown stuffed. The Asskicker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Newton misses with a wild body shot. Asskicker swinging wilding here.
And that's the end of the fight! Zane Newton comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Newton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
