The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Bate as Lashley shoots in.
Bate stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bate wants it to stay on the feet.

Lashley closes the distance and clinches up with Bate, looking for a takedown. Lashley pushes Bate against the cage but Bate circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bate wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Lashley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bate's waist but Bate gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lashley off to one side.

Lashley rolls with it to try and escape but Bate cranks on the arm and Lashley is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
