Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Majkel Magic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darryl Hinds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Darryl Hinds is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Majkel Magic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Darryl Hinds!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hinds decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Magic looking for submissions off his back.
Hinds controlling the pace.
Hinds looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
It looks like Hinds is going to stand back up.

Magic looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Hinds wants to stand up but Magic manages to regain full guard.
Hinds wants to stand but Magic is controlling his posture from full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Magic is looking for a triangle but Hinds pushes his legs off easily.

Hinds is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Magic is looking to stand up but Hinds isn't so interested in that idea.

Magic has his foot on Hinds's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hinds works his way back into a safe position though.
Hinds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Magic swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hinds wants to stand but Magic has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hinds controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hinds stopping the sweep attempt from Magic.
Hinds slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Magic shoots in but no luck this time.
Hinds throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hinds lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Hinds rushes Magic and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hinds stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Hinds breaks the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Hinds. No joy for Magic on that attempt.
Hinds throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Magic is defended easily by Hinds.
Magic has been working on his balance at Fitness elite 24/7, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Hinds.

Hinds works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Hinds is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Magic can't fight it off and eventually Hinds manages to take the fight to the floor. Magic looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Magic is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hinds defends well.
Hinds stays in close to Magic's body and controls the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Magic controls Hinds momentarily but Hinds frees himself.

Magic looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Magic is breathing heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Magic working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hinds doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hinds manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A lazy left from Hinds finds it's target.
Majkel Magic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Magic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hinds's waist but Hinds gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Magic off to one side.

Magic darts in looking for a takedown but Hinds gets double underhooks and turns Magic into the cage.

Hinds has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Magic off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Hinds counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hinds thuds his right hand into Magic's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Hinds keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Magic tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Hinds lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hinds.

Darryl Hinds seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Magic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hinds tries to avoid it but Magic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hinds to the ground. Hinds escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Majkel Magic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Magic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hinds circles away.
Magic takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hinds scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Magic pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Magic wants to slow Hinds down by chopping away at his legs.

and Hinds makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Hinds shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hinds showed some decent athleticism there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hinds can do anything to dispel that myth.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Magic shoots in looking for a takedown. Hinds tries to sprawl out of it but Magic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hinds manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Magic is trying to drag Hinds to the mat but Hinds just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Magic wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Magic jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hinds walks away with a smile on his face. Magic gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Darryl Hinds comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hinds has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
