Takkala throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Invictus counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Takkala is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Invictus pushes Takkala up against the cage in a clinch.
Invictus is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Takkala is defending well for now.
Invictus tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Takkala tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Invictus smiles and moves away.

Invictus has Takkala pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Takkala is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Invictus - that's hurt Takkala badly! Oh, another knee lands and Takkala is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Takkala doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Lance Invictus!
A relieved looking Lance Invictus thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
