PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Silik Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunt comes into the arena with London Calling blaring out of the sound system. Banks has chosen All I do Is win as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Hunt cracks Banks with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Banks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hunt sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Banks takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Banks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hunt moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Will Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Banks's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Banks's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hunt connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Banks scrambles back to his feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Banks or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunt, which made it look bad.

Banks chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hunt can pounce on him.
Hunt lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Banks clobbers Hunt with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Banks's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hunt under the eye.
Hunt goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Banks shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hunt sprawls well. Hunt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Banks gets slowly back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hunt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
