Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casper Holm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holm tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.

Silva moves into the clinch.
Holm keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Silva's efforts to push away.

Holm pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Holm has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Holm there as he acknowledges the shot.
Holm changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Holm manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Silva has managed to clinch.

A nice inside leg kick there by Holm. That's going to slow Silva down.

Silva jabs Holm right on the nose. Holm blinks but takes it well.
Holm tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Silva.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Holm's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Silva has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Holm seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Silva can turn it around.

and Silva counters with a series of strikes. Holm will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Holm moves into range and clinches up with Silva.

Holm tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Holm's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Holm shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silva but Silva pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Holm is trying to pull guard but Silva turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Silva wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Holm's closed guard. He's half up but Holm has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Holm pivots and extends the arm, Silva falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Holm! Well done that man!
