Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Wensink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Omar Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wensink might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Momma Said Knock You Out. Little has chosen Snoop Dogg - Murder was the Case as his entrance music. John Wensink has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Wensink! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Omar Little! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Little closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. We've been told by Wensink's head coaches at Werewolf's cave that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wensink throws a poor cross that misses
and Little counters with a takedown into side control. Little scoring with punches and elbows. Wensink tries to bench press Little off him but Little keeps the position. Little landing a few strikes. Little thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Little landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Little is looking to advance position but Wensink won't allow it. Little winds up and cracks Wensink with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Wensink has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Little is working away from the top position though. Little drops an elbow to the side of Wensink's head. Nice strikes from Little there. Little seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Little is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Little is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Wensink is just riding it out for now. Little eventually gives up the hold. Little has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Little uses his free foot to push down on Wensink's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wensink.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wensink bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Little looking to control.
Little is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wensink on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Little takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wensink tries to roll over but Little keeps him under control. Little looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Wensink seems to have got his legs back now. Little trying to control the action but Wensink is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wensink works his way to full guard. Good work. Little content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Little lands a couple of decent looking shots. Little scoring with some ground and pound. Wensink looking for a sweep. Not yet Wensink, not yet. Wensink is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Little trying to control the position from guard on top but Wensink is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wensink is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. A jab from Wensink misses. Donk. Wensink catches Little right on the button with a cross. Little feints and then cracks Wensink's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wensink down. Little bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Little steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wensink. Wensink misses with a looping right. Wensink throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Wensink misses with an uppercut. Little closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wensink circles away. Little steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wensink. Wensink gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Little to score an easy takedown into full guard. Wensink looking for a guillotine here but Little defends easily.

Little has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wensink lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Little looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wensink is one step ahead there. Wensink wants to stand but Little is controlling his posture from full guard. Little pulls Wensink in close to his closed guard and prevents Wensink from doing any damage or advancing position. Wensink would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Wensink got a little sloppy there for a moment and Little has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wensink has managed to get both his arms back between Little's legs - danger averted. Wensink is looking to work some ground and pound but Little has wrist control.

The fighters circling - Wensink throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Little closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Little connects with a nice short shot to Wensink's temple. Wensink is refusing to be controlled, as Little sits in half guard. Wensink taking some punishment here, with Little in his half guard. Wensink is looking to escape. Little trying to control the action but Wensink is working from the bottom. Little works his foot free and advances to mount. Wensink keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Little is nestled in close to Wensink, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Wensink wants to control but Little is keeping busy.

Omar Little is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Wensink is looking to escape. Little looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wensink with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. John Wensink has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wensink looking for submissions off his back. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Little lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Wensink is trying to get back to full guard. Little lands a big shot. And that's the end of the fight! Omar Little comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Little winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
