The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith fails to land the takedown.
Smith could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pedigrew.
Smith bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Smith takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Smith goes for a double leg but Pedigrew avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pedigrew continues to drive forward.
Pedigrew lands with a short shot to the head.
Pedigrew escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice sprawl there from Pedigrew as Smith shoots in.

Smith dives in for a single leg takedown but Pedigrew sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
