Van Beethoven comes to the cage accompanied by Beethoven-Symphony 7. Stabler has chosen Grown Men Don't Cry as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elliot Stabler!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stabler closes the distance and clinches up with Van Beethoven , looking for a takedown. Stabler pushes Van Beethoven against the cage but Van Beethoven circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No joy there for Van Beethoven , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stabler lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.


It looks like Wolfgang Van Beethoven has been cut.

Stabler gets a takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Beethoven is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Stabler is trying to control. Van Beethoven wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Stabler stops Van Beethoven from getting back to his feet.

Stabler throws a strike but Van Beethoven rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Van Beethoven lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Van Beethoven lands a lovely overhand right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Elliot Stabler dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Stabler shoots in and drives through. Van Beethoven sprawls well.

Stabler feints a jab promting Van Beethoven to slip. Stabler then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Van Beethoven slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Van Beethoven cracks Stabler with a good jab.
Nice takedown defense from Van Beethoven . No joy for Stabler on that attempt.
Wolfgang Van Beethoven has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elliot Stabler.
Stabler misses with a takedown attempt - Van Beethoven sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Stabler moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Van Beethoven gets caught flat footed, as Stabler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Van Beethoven has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stabler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Stabler. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Stabler makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Stabler content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Stabler is fighting to break Van Beethoven 's control of his arms but Van Beethoven is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Van Beethoven manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stabler manages to get himself to full guard.

Stabler has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Van Beethoven decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Stabler rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Van Beethoven moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Van Beethoven dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Stabler. That did some damage!
Van Beethoven punishes Stabler's body with a nice straight punch.
Good leg kick by Van Beethoven there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Stabler tries for a takedown but Van Beethoven circles away easily

and Van Beethoven counters with a nice right hand that sends Stabler toppling to the canvas! Stabler scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Van Beethoven finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Van Beethoven throws a pinpoint strike between Stabler's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Stabler crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Van Beethoven scores a great knockout victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wolfgang Van Beethoven !
