Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee comes to the cage accompanied by "Eyes of A Ranger". Byrd comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Rough Riders" By DMX kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Lee looks to land a combination but Byrd avoids it well.
Lee instigates a clinch.

A short body shot lands from Lee as the two fighters clinch.

Byrd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Byrd had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lee is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Byrd Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lee's back instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Byrd fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lee manages to avoid it.

I really don't envy Byrd right now.

Byrd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Byrd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Chuck Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
