The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torton throws a hook but Monson blocks it.
Monson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Torton napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Monson is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Torton is trying to escape and Monson transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Torton is forced to tap! Nice work there by Monson! Very nice indeed!
