Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marty Leslie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dom Nik! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Nik shoots in for a takedown but Leslie shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nik fails with the takedown and Leslie counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nik trying to control from the bottom.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leslie not landing any meaningful shots this time. Nik actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are battling for position here. Nik manages to regain full guard. Nice work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nik wants to get back to his feet but Leslie is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Nik controls Leslie momentarily but Leslie frees himself. Leslie is working Nik over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Leslie's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Nik preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Nik is looking for a triangle but Leslie pushes his legs off easily.
Nik is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Leslie defends well. Nik is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Leslie's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nik looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Leslie looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Nik not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Leslie is in close to Nik's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nik is looking for a triangle but Leslie pushes his legs off easily.
Leslie distracts Nik with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Leslie is breathing heavily. Leslie throwing strikes from guard but Nik blocks nicely. Leslie knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nik on the ground. Leslie works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nik has his hands clasped together around Leslie's back. He's all about the action. Nik is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Leslie scores with a couple of nice shots. Nik is looking to control Leslie's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nik avoid being mounted? Leslie lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Leslie works his way into side control. Nik struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nik is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Leslie off and has taken his back! Nik trying to control. Nik controlling the position well here. Leslie rolled but Nik kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Nik tries to keep control of the position but Leslie is staying busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Marty Leslie will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Nik shoots and misses and Leslie counters with a shoot takedown. Nik fights it but they end up in guard. Nik is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Leslie is aware though and is defending well. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Leslie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Nik had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Leslie defends it easily. Leslie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nik works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Nik is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Leslie has his hands clasped together but Nik extends and breaks Leslie's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Nik.

A very excited looking Dom Nik made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet.
