Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Adamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adamek has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomasz Adamek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Sanders! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanders tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Adamek manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sanders tries to clinch up. Adamek shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sanders as he avoids it easily. Adamek tries to clinch up but Sanders circles away and keeps his distance. Sanders swings for the body but Adamek moves out of range.
Sanders misses with a looping left. Adamek tries to sprawl but Sanders drives through with a takedown into half guard. Sanders is working for a submission of some sort.
Sanders is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Adamek defends it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sanders throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanders throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Sanders thows a huge punch but Adamek dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Adamek pushes Sanders off looking to stand but Sanders dives back in and keeps control.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sanders takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Sanders fails with a takedown attempt. Sanders tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Adamek defends well and Sanders ends up having to push Adamek into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Sanders goes for a takedown in the clinch but Adamek prevents it.
Tomasz Adamek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Sanders. Sanders tries to pull guard but Adamek forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Adamek working hard to break the clinch. Sanders is looking for a takedown. Sanders tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Adamek avoids it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sanders is trying to drag Adamek to the mat but Adamek just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Sanders wants to take the fight to the mat but Adamek manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Mike Sanders has been cut. Sanders shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Adamek but Adamek pushes him off and we're back to square one. Adamek throws a head kick that Sanders semi-blocks.
Sanders tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Adamek swivels and escapes. Adamek keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tomasz Adamek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Sanders. Sanders wants to clinch. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Adamek. Sanders shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Adamek pinned against the cage. Adamek gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Adamek keeps Sanders at a distance using the push kick. Sanders feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Adamek wants to stand up but Sanders is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sanders drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Adamek manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sanders has Adamek in his guard. Adamek wants to get up but he can't break Sanders's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Sanders is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Adamek is aware though and is defending well. Sanders really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Adamek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Adamek wants to stand but Sanders is controlling his posture from full guard. Sanders throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Adamek would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Sanders escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Adamek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sanders has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Adamek doesn't defend quickly enough and Sanders has managed to lock this one up! Can Adamek escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sanders on a fantastic submission victory.
