PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alves Skubi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Barnes counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Barnes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Skubi does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Skubi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Skubi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Skubi rushes Barnes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Barnes lands an elbow that stopped Skubi in his tracks for a moment.
Skubi is trying to push Barnes away but Barnes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Still in the clinch, Barnes scores with a nice short uppercut.

Skubi pushes Barnes off and scrambles back to his feet.

Barnes tries to keep at a distance but Skubi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Barnes lands an elbow inside that Skubi shrugs off.

Skubi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Skubi manages to end up in side control.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Barnes enables Skubi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Barnes manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
