Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Tanaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steven McKinney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiroshi Tanaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steven McKinney! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanaka takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. McKinney tries to clinch but Tanaka moves out of range. McKinney clinches up with Tanaka and pushes him back against the cage. McKinney lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. A right handed body shot lands from McKinney.
McKinney cracks Tanaka with a nice body shot. Tanaka is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McKinney is keeping busy. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - McKinney has eaten all the pies! McKinney lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Tanaka. McKinney pushes Tanaka back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Tanaka drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tanaka goes for a takedown attempt but McKinney pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McKinney moves into range and clinches up with Tanaka. Tanaka is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables McKinney to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hiroshi Tanaka. That's going to take a lot out of him. McKinney lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tanaka backwards.

Tanaka is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McKinney sees it coming and defends easily. McKinney tries to kick Tanaka off but Tanaka keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. McKinney is staying active underneath Tanaka, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Tanaka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Tanaka passes the guard and advances to mount! Tanaka fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

McKinney throws a series of punches but Tanaka moves out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tanaka fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. McKinney sprawls well initially but Tanaka persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Tanaka is keen to just control but McKinney is a slippery customer. Tanaka throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Tanaka is trying to control. McKinney wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanaka seems to be working for a kimura but McKinney defends the submission attempt. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. McKinney is not content to let Tanaka control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Tanaka takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. McKinney moves out of range of the body kick. McKinney dips down and scores with a jab to the body. McKinney doesn't manage to clinch there - Tanaka circles away.

Tanaka tries to pull guard but McKinney won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight! Steven McKinney comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think McKinney has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
