Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bertram Battle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Page! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Battle misses with a head kick.
Battle gets off balance looking for a body kick and Page makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Page shoots for a takedown but Battle saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Battle gets off balance looking for a body kick and Page counters with a three punch combo that has Battle backing up. Battle nods at Page to acknowledge the strikes. Battle throws a sloppy head kick and Page moves out of range easily. Battle throws a series of punches but Page avoids them all with ease. A nice leg kick lands there from Page. Battle fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Page is out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Battle rushes Page and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Page is trying to break the clinch but Battle is controlling him. Still in the clinch, Battle scores with a nice short uppercut. Page's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's one minute gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Page. Battle does a little dance to reset his feet. Page lands with a kick to the temple. Battle shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Battle throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Battle looks to throw a body kick enabling Page to counter with a crisp jab. Battle uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Page.

A lazy body kick from Battle and Page cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Battle gets off balance looking for a body kick and Page counters with an inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Battle delivers a nice body kick. Page misses with a takedown and Battle counters with a body kick that stops Page in his tracks momentarily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. No joy there for Battle, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Page counters with a nice body shot. A lazy body kick from Battle and Page counters with a left to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Battle looks to throw a body kick and Page counters with a right hand to the body. Battle tries to land a front kick but Page steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. A lazy left from Page finds it's target. Battle takes the fight into the clinch. Page's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A combination from Battle does no damage. Page smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Page uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Battle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Battle misses with a double jab
and Page counters with a big head kick but Battle shrugs it off. Battle misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Battle tries to clinch up but Page circles away and keeps his distance. Page jabs at Battle's body. Battle fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Battle misses with a two punch combination.
Bertram Battle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Page slips a jab and a cross from Battle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Michael Page will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Battle throws a lazy head kick and Page counters with a left to the body. Battle has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Page. Battle misses with a combination

Bertram Battle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Page lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Battle rushes Page and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Page is looking to break free of the clinch but Battle has double underhooks. A frustrated look appears on Page's face as he tries to break the clinch. Page breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Page moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Page has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Michael Page seems to be getting the better of the standup. Battle misses with a hook. Page ducked under it nicely. Page swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Page cracks a nice hook into Battle's ribs. Battle misses with the body kick and Page counters with a lovely shot to the body. A combination from Battle does no damage. Battle throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Battle really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Battle looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Page fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Page shoots in for a takedown but Battle shows good takedown defense. Battle tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Page slips a jab and a cross from Battle.
Page throws a shot from downtown. Battle moves away and avoids it. Battle misses with a series of wild punches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Battle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Page circles away quickly and effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Battle throws a half hearted mid kick. Page avoids a punch combination nicely.

The crowd cheers as Page lands an impressive looking overhand right. Battle doesn't seem phased though. Battle is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Battle throws a right and a left that Page avoids nicely. Page lands with an uppercut that bounces Battle off the cage and back into range. Page lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Battle misses with a body kick. Battle slips under a jab. Battle throws a lazy head kick and Page counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Page lands with a nice combination. Battle backs away looking to recover. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Page scores with the left hand. Battle knows he should have avoided that one.
Battle is rocked! Page sizes up Battle with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Oh Battle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Page misses with a straight left. Page pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Page drops Battle with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Battle! Page dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Page! As Michael Page got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: It's only a matter of time before you see MVP's name in lights.
