Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scott Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manvel Gamburyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gamburyan has chosen Gamburyan vs. Brown on April 24th as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Manvel Gamburyan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 24 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Manvel Gamburyan!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Morgan lands but Gamburyan takes it in his stride.

and Morgan counters with a head kick. That will keep Gamburyan thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!


It looks like Manvel Gamburyan has been cut.

and Morgan counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Gamburyan down! Morgan is looking to finish but Gamburyan is intelligently defending himself.

Gamburyan goes for a double leg but Morgan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Morgan continues to drive forward.

Morgan seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Manvel Gamburyan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Morgan counters with a series of strikes that sends Gamburyan to the canvas! Morgan follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Morgan leaves Gamburyan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Morgan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Gamburyan at a distance.

Morgan fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gamburyan, pushing him back against the cage.
Gamburyan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Morgan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Gamburyan has Morgan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Morgan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Morgan shoots in for a double leg but Gamburyan sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gamburyan. Morgan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gamburyan shoots in looking for a takedown. Morgan tries to sprawl out of it but Gamburyan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Morgan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Morgan feints a jab and as Gamburyan dips his head, Morgan unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Gamburyan right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Gamburyan falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Morgan smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Scott Morgan!
A relieved looking Scott Morgan thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
