Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cruz Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeMarcus DeSilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jefferson comes to the cage accompanied by Damian Marley - Welcome to Jamrock. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 24 - 0, fighting out of London, Cruz Jefferson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, DeMarcus DeSilva! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jefferson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt DeSilva. DeSilva misses with a leg kick and Jefferson counters with a body kick that stops DeSilva in his tracks momentarily. DeSilva misses with a body shot.
DeSilva fails with the takedown and Jefferson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. DeSilva avoids the head kick by Jefferson.
DeSilva has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. DeSilva misses with an attempted mid kick.
A clash of legs there as Jefferson blocks the low kick. A bone on bone clash there as Jefferson blocks the leg kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Jefferson. That snapped DeSilva's head back.
A head kick by DeSilva misses and Jefferson counters with a nice body shot. DeSilva misses with a takedown and Jefferson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like DeMarcus DeSilva has been cut. Jefferson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Jefferson looks to throw the jab but DeSilva is out of range. Jefferson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
DeSilva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! DeSilva looks to land a body kick but Jefferson moved away.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeSilva shoots in and drives through. Jefferson sprawls well. Cruz Jefferson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DeMarcus DeSilva. Jefferson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. DeSilva avoids a kick to the body.
The fighters circling - Jefferson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Jefferson throws a chopping leg kick but DeSilva manages to avoid taking any serious damage. DeSilva scores with a punch to the head. DeSilva throws a sloppy head kick and Jefferson counters with a left to the body. DeSilva fails with the takedown. Jefferson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
DeSilva keeps Jefferson at a distance using the push kick. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Jefferson. DeMarcus DeSilva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. DeSilva has his takedown stuffed and Jefferson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jefferson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but DeSilva moves away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeSilva misses with a kick to the body.
DeSilva closes the distance and clinches up with Jefferson, looking for a takedown. DeSilva pushes Jefferson against the cage but Jefferson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! DeSilva darts in looking for a takedown but Jefferson gets double underhooks and turns DeSilva into the cage. Jefferson prevents a body shot from DeSilva. Nice elbow from Jefferson. Jefferson slows down the pace here.
Jefferson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Jefferson scores with an uppercut up the middle. DeSilva takes an elbow to the forehead. Jefferson lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Jefferson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Jefferson tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
DeSilva misses with a punch to the body.
Jefferson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but DeSilva blocks it with crossed arms. DeSilva swings wildly with an uppercut but Jefferson uses good head movement to avoid it. Jefferson prevents DeSilva from breaking the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Jefferson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That has opened up DeMarcus DeSilva's cut even more. Jefferson lands a damaging elbow.
DeSilva is rocked! Nice elbow from Jefferson. DeSilva is still on wobbly legs! Can Jefferson finish him? DeSilva is pressed against the cage. Jefferson pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts DeSilva! Two more big strikes from Jefferson and DeSilva crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Cruz Jefferson! Cruz Jefferson seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
