Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Paulie Wogg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Clark! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wogg closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Clark to the mat! Clark manages to get full guard. Clark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wogg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wogg manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wogg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clark swivels though and keeps the full guard. Clark keeping moving, preventing Wogg from controlling successfully. Wogg pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Clark is keeping the position for now. Wogg wants to control from the top but Clark keeps moving. Wogg advances to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wogg is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Clark still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Clark has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Wogg is looking to regain half guard here but Clark keeps moving and retains side control. Clark trying to control the position but Wogg is working away. Wogg tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wogg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Wogg working to try and regain half guard.
Clark avoids the attempt from Wogg to control. Wogg is in all sorts of trouble here.
Clark working for a submission but Wogg is keeping him at bay. Wogg tries to improve his position but instead Clark has taken his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wogg fending off the submission attempt from Clark. Clark looks gassed! Wogg prevents Clark from getting a body triangle. Clark is trying to stick to Wogg's back but Wogg is turning into Clark. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Clark's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wogg. Wogg looking to pass the guard. Wogg passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wogg tries to pass the half guard into mount. Clark knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Wogg is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Clark is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wogg is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Paulie Wogg will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Wogg shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wogg is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wogg is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Clark! Wogg goes for an armbar but Clark turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Clark. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wogg throws his legs up looking for a submission but Clark uses it to pass to side control.
Wogg is trying to control Clark's posture but Clark avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clark tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Wogg tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Clark presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Clark working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wogg is trying desperately to improve position. Wogg regains half guard. Wogg tries to roll over but Clark keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Wogg looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Clark pushes past his half guard into mount! Wogg is looking to get to half guard. Wogg regains half guard. Wogg moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Wogg has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Clark is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wogg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Paulie Wogg will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Clark keeps the fight on the outside. Wogg thuds his shin into the meat of Clark's side. Clark blocks a head kick by Wogg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Clark wants to clinch but Wogg slips to the side and Wogg decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Clark's guard. Wogg wants to pass the guard but Clark is keeping the position. Wogg is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Clark is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Clark has escaped and now he's on top! Wogg has his foot on Clark's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Clark works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Clark pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wogg is keeping the position for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clark wants to control from the top but Wogg keeps moving. Paulie Wogg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wogg looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Clark passes into half guard.
Wogg is trying to maintain the position but Clark is very close to passing his half guard. Wogg misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Paulie Wogg is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Wogg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

And that's the end of the fight! Paulie Wogg showed his dominance in that final round. Well Wogg has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
