Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elias Robles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wokkie Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wokkie Lee will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Elias Robles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wokkie Lee!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Francis DeMontford and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee swings for the body but Robles moves out of range.
Lee connects with a high kick.


It looks like Elias Robles has been cut.
Lee shoots in but Robles avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Lee doesn't manage to clinch there - Robles circles away.
Robles dives in and grabs Lee's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes down on Robles's head and hops out.
Robles has a takedown stuffed.
Robles shoots in for a double leg but Lee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elias Robles. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lee fails with the takedown
and Robles counters with a straight right hand.
Lee swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Robles defends well and Lee ends up having to push Robles into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Robles jumps guard but Lee turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lee works on Robles's body with a couple of short punches.
Robles wants to take the fight to the mat but Lee manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Lee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Robles takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Robles throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Lee pushes Robles up against the cage in a clinch.
Lee lands a nice shot to the body.
Lee lands a left hand that snaps the head of Robles backwards.
Robles missing with knees to the body.

Lee has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Robles uses from the top position.
Lee is adopting a defensive guard.
Lee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Robles is one step ahead there.

Lee has an active guard here but Robles has managed to pass into half guard.
Lee tries to roll over but Robles keeps him under control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Robles wants to work for an arm triangle but Lee is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Robles gets tackled into the cage by Lee. Lee maintains the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Robles.
Robles leaves Lee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Robles slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt.
Elias Robles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wokkie Lee.
Lee looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Lee throws a wild body kick that Robles sees coming a mile off.

Lee drives through and clinches with Robles against the cage.

Lee manages to pull guard.
Lee wants to sweep but no luck.
Robles loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Lee isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Robles stacks Lee on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Robles!
Lee tries to bench press Robles off him but Robles keeps the position.

Robles stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Robles throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Robles counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Robles swats away the attempt to clinch by Lee.
Robles looks to land a left hand but Lee moved out of range nicely.
Robles blocks the body kick.
Lee tries to score a power double leg takedown but Robles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lee somewhat.
Wokkie Lee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Robles checks a leg kick.
Robles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Robles off to one side.
Lee shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Robles counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Robles.
Lee stops a takedown attempt from Robles.
Robles doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Robles stops a takedown attempt from Lee.
Robles jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lee walks away with a smile on his face. Robles gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Robles shoots in but no luck this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lee tries to clinch but Robles is having none of it.
Lee shoots in looking for a takedown but Robles manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Robles tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Robles to the ground. Robles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lee goes for a double leg but Robles avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Robles continues to drive forward.
Robles tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Lee pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee is trying to hold Robles in close to prevent damage but Robles has managed to pass into half guard.
Robles blocks the strikes from Lee.

Lee pushes Robles off and gets back to his feet.
Lee throws a combination. Robles tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Robles sprawls well. Robles wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.
Robles cracks Lee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Lee tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Robles manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Robles tries for a takedown but Lee sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Robles takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Lee forces Robles back against the cage and clinches.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lee pulls guard successfully.

Lee has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Robles can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Robles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Lee is looking to sweep but instead, Robles has passed into half guard.
Lee is looking for a sweep. Robles is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Robles decides to stand up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Wokkie Lee comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
